What are brake discs?
Brake discs are also known as brake rotors and are often made from cast iron or a carbon composite. These are usually attached to the suspension of the vehicle and are gripped by brake pads held in a brake caliper. The friction between the brake disc and the pads is what brings the car to a halt.
