X-Met Metals is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in our longstanding partnership with Blackburn Rovers Football Club, having agreed a three-year sponsorship deal that will see Ewood Park’s Riverside Stand officially named the X-Met Metals Riverside Stand.
For our team, this is a fantastic milestone. For X-Met Metals owner Mark Bardsley, a lifelong Blackburn Rovers supporter, it is also an incredibly proud personal achievement.
A Partnership Built on Passion for Blackburn Rovers
Our relationship with Blackburn Rovers goes back more than five years, during which time we have supported the club through a variety of sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
In November 2024, we strengthened that relationship by becoming the club’s Big Screen Partner. Now, taking on the sponsorship of the Riverside Stand represents our biggest commitment to Rovers yet.
This partnership is particularly meaningful because our connection with the club goes far beyond business.
Mark has been following Blackburn Rovers for over 30 years, attending matches at Ewood Park since childhood and travelling across the country to support the team.
From early trips to Ewood Park with his father to arranging work shifts around matchdays, supporting Rovers has always been an important part of Mark’s life.
Today, he remains a regular at home fixtures and continues to follow the club on the road whenever possible.
Bringing Together Two Important Parts of Mark’s Life
Building X-Met Metals into a successful North West business has taken years of hard work and dedication. Having the company’s name associated with a football club that has meant so much to Mark throughout his life makes this achievement particularly special.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Mark explained:
“To now see the X-Met Metals name on the Riverside Stand is incredibly special. For me, this is much more than a sponsorship. It brings together a club I’ve supported for more than 30 years with a business we’ve worked incredibly hard to build and hopefully allows us to play a small part in supporting Rovers and creating more memories for supporters in the years ahead.”
The partnership also reflects the genuine, mutually supportive relationship that has developed between the two organisations, with Blackburn Rovers having previously used X-Met Metals’ services.
